If you love RomComs...
"About Time"is one that I never hear talked about. It offers a fresh story and keeps the viewers attention the whole time. It does fall into some overused Romcom story tropes, but this is hardly a problem. "About Time' is an emotional and overall fun watch. It is also available now on Netflix.

If you want to hear a crazy story...
"Searching for Sugar Man" is perfect. I know, it is amazing that my documentary recommendation is not "Tiger King." However, this documentary is phenomenal. From the opening shot you will find yourself amazed. "Searching for Sugar Man" is the story of the musician known as Rodriguez and his story. It secured the Oscar for Best Documentary in 2013, and it is available on Netflix now.

If you want to be scared...
"Parasite" will do this and so much more. If you haven't already seen this film you need to immediately. "Parasite"is funny, scary, and will surprise you at every turn. In a year full of great movies, there is none on par with this one. Parasite is one of films best examinations of class, while not being boring or slow at any point. Director Bong Joon-Ho crafted a film that redefines movies as a whole and will forever be talked about as one of the greatest films ever made. "Parasite" took home the Oscar for Best Picture, and is now available on Hulu.

If you need a T.V. show to binge...
"Freaks and Geeks" will be an extremely fun and fast ride. One of my personal all time favorite T.V. shows, "Freaks and Geeks" portrays high school and teenage life in a more real light than any other show has. It is also extremely funny. It is the greatest tragedy of television, since it was cancelled after one season. It gave birth to the careers of legendary actors such as Jason Segal, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogen, and James Franco. "Freaks and Geeks" is a show that is an essential watch especially for high schoolers.

If you love animated movies...
"Ratatouille" is among the best of them. This Pixar film preaches that anyone can achieve their dreams. This film makes you feel like you are a chef alongside with characters Remy and Linguini. It is full of beautiful animation, laughs, well-developed characters, and awesome French Music. It is available on Disney+.

If you are a romantic...
"Before Sunrise" is one of Hollywood's most romantic films. The film follows an American man who meets a French woman on a train and the day they spend together in Vienna. "Before Sunrise" is a dialogue heavy movie that is carried by great performances from Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. It is available on Amazon Prime and if you can't get enough there are two sequels that are great as well.

If you want to be shocked...
"Shutter Island" will certainly do so. "Shutter Island" is one of Martin Scorsese's most underappreciated films. This film is a detective thriller about a runaway patient of an insane asylum. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, and Ben Kingsley, "Shutter Island" will send chills through your spine until the credits roll and have you constantly guessing what will happen next. It is available for rent on Amazon Prime.

If you want to laugh...
"Rushmore"may be exactly what you need. Although the humor is more refined than a typical shock-comedy movies, the story of Rushmore is hilarious. It follows Max Fischer, a high school student who is involved in every extracurricular possible (but is failing school), his best friend Herman Blume, a much older divorced millionaire, and their competition to win the love of the same Kindergarten teacher. It is Wes Anderson at his funniest, and is available for rent on Amazon Prime.

If you love action movies...
"The King" will provide the adrenaline you are looking for. Timothee Chalamet proves his flexibility as an actor in this role, playing a more serious role as Hal, the prince of England. This film offers deep dialogue, cinematic battle scenes, and violent antagonists. It is also available to watch now on Netflix.
