Clue (1985)
★★★★★½ (5.5/7)
Being a sucker for a good whodunnit, I had no choice but to enjoy "Clue." It was fun and exciting and had me guessing the whole time. The big ensemble cast all delivered in their perspective roles and gave more depth to the characters from the game. I also think "Clue" would be a good film to watch with friends and family to see their guesses and reactions throughout the film.

Clueless (1995)
★★★★★★½ (6.5/7)
"Clueless" was a film that I initially did not even want to watch. However, I finally agreed because my sister really wanted to (in part to its 25th anniversary). I must say I am very glad I watched it. "Clueless" is hilarious and the writing is top tier comedy. Its cultural influence is still relevant. It is a film with great rewatch value and certainly deserves its reputation as one of the great romantic comedies.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)
★★★★★★ (6/7)
There isn't much to complain about in Jason Segal's "Forgetting Sara Marshall." It is endlessly hilarious and was a great break from the darker side of film. It also boasts one of the best comedy casts I have seen in a while, with Jason Segal, Mila Kunis, Russel Brand, Kristen Bell, Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Jack McBrayer, and even Jason Bateman. Overall, I had a really good time with this film.

Love Actually (2003)
★★★★½ (4.5/7)
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with "Love Actually." It was actually pretty ambitious for a romcom, having many different characters and relationships. However, this was also the main fault of this film. The characters were not able to be developed because there were too many of them. Also, some of the characters actions were very infuriating as a viewer.

Manchester by the Sea (2016)
★★★★★½ (5.5/7)
Although it was difficult for me to get into, there are plenty of things to marvel at in "Manchester by the Sea." This film deals with grief and loss in a very real way. It is hard to enjoy a film like this because of its tough subject matter. Casey Affleck was amazing in this. He plays his role to perfection and gives a great depiction as to what it really feels like to deal with pain.

Mean Streets (1973)
★★★★★ (5/7)
"Mean Streets" is probably my least favorite Scorsese film that I have seen so far. This is not to discredit this film, considering almost every film I have seen of his is a masterpiece. However, "Mean Streets" does not have anything in my mind that makes it particularly great. It does feel personal for Scorsese, and it is nice to see him delve into the world of the Italian mobs. Also, the brotherly connection felt between Harvey Keitel and Robert De Niro's character's showed early promise for Scorsese's amazing ability to write great characters, but in the end, I was somewhat disappointed after finishing this film.

The Usual Suspects (1995)
★★★★★½ (5.5/7)
"The Usual Suspects" is a film that is most famous for its twist, and rightfully so. It delivers that, a great twist. However, the actual substance of the film is not remarkable. It did offer some very memorable lines and moments, but overall, it was not a great film. It was not a twist that I could not see coming, and I appreciate that, but it is not much more than that.

True Grit (2010)
★★★★★★ (6/7)
I was excited to watch "True Grit," being that it was one of my favorite novels I read in high school. My excitement grew when I saw the Coen brothers directed it. I was not let down. Although I am still not a huge fan of Mattie Ross, "True Grit" does a fantastic job of crafting a fantastic western in a time where westerns are not appreciated like they used to be.

What We Do in the Shadows (2014)
★★★★★ (5/7)
After hearing people rave about this film, even calling it "The Office" with vampires, I was very excited to watch it. This is not a bad film. It definitely has its moments. However, just because it is made in the mocumentary style does not merit comparing it to one of the best written comedy T.V. series of all time. "What We Do in the Shadows" is sometimes funny, but ultimately left me a little disappointed.
